o que significam as expressões to hustle e to play the field?

If you have watched the latest music video by Taylor Swift, The Man, you saw that it portrays a very strong topic: sexist double-standards. You don't need to follow her career very closely to notice that throughout her history in music business she's been labeled as many things, especially because of her relationship choices. What she wants us to consider after watching the video is whether or not she'd go through the same things she went thought if she were a man.

Take a look at the very first verses where she brings up the first expression:
I would be complex
I would be cool
They'd say I played the field before
I found someone to commit to
And that would be okay

If you play the field, you "indulge in a series of sexual relationships without committing oneself to anyone". So do you think people would pick on Taylor Swift any less for playing the field if she were a man? Leave us your opinion in the comment section down below.

Further into the song Taylor Swift brings up another expression. Check it out:

They'd say I hustled
Put in the work
They wouldn't shake their heads
And question how much of this I deserve

When you hustle you "have the courage, confidence, self belief, and self-determination to go out there and work it out until you find the opportunities you want in life". That's all for now guys. Take care!
