Hello, it’s me
I was wondering if after all these years
You’d like to meet, to go over everything
They say that time’s supposed to heal ya
But I ain’t done much healing

Hello, can you hear me?
I’m in California dreaming about who we used to be
When we were younger and free
I’ve forgotten how it felt before the world fell at our feet

There’s such a difference between us
And a million miles

Hello from the other side
I must’ve called a thousand times to tell you
I’m sorry for everything that I’ve done
But when I call, you never seem to be home

Hello from the outside
At least I can say that I’ve tried to tell you
I’m sorry for breaking your heart
But it don’t matter, it clearly doesn’t tear you apart anymore

Hello, how are you?
It’s so typical of me to talk about myself
I’m sorry, I hope that you’re well
Did you ever make it out of that town
Where nothing ever happened?

It’s no secret

That the both of us are running out of time

Vamos lá!

1. I was wondering if: eu estava me perguntando se...
  • I was wondering if he is really my friend.
  • I wonder if she likes her boyfriend or not
2. to meet: encontrar e conhecer alguém pela primeira vez.
  • nice to meet you.
  • I think I'll meet them at the mall because it's the safest place around.
3. go over: examinar, verificar.
  • Let's go over a few detais before we go even further.
  • Before we continue our relationship, I'd like to go over a few things that annoy me about you.
4. they say time's supposed to heal ya: há um ditado que diz que o tempo cura todas as feridas. Aqui, temos a expressão to be supposed to, que é usada para nos referirmos a algo que esperamos que aconteça, além de ya, que é a maneira informal de se dizer you. Ainda falando sobre to be supposed to, usamos essa expressão para dizer o que algo ou alguém deve ou não deve fazer, o que é esperado dela. Veja alguns exemplos:
  • What am I supposed to do?
  • You're not supposed to smore here.
  • Only cyclists are supposed to use this path.
4. I ain't done much healing: Eu não me curei muito. Portanto, I am not ugly ficaria I an't ugly; she hasn't got here se tornaria she ain't got here; they haven't got it se tornaria they ain't got it, etc.

am not

are not, aren’t
is not, isn’t
has not, hasn’t
have not, haven’t

5. dreaming about: querendo muito. O phrasal verb to dream about expressa a idea de querer muito algo. Veja alguns exemplos:
  • i've been dreaming about that trip forever.
  • I spent all day dreaming about this moment.
6. we used to be: nós costumávamos ser. A estrutura é pronome + used+to+verbo no infinitivo. Veja alguns exemplos:
  • I used to sleep all afternoon every day when I got home from school.
  • I used to play with my friends at home until late at night.
  • I used to be best friends with my last girlfriend
7: I must've: I devo ter ligado. Essa é a forma abreviada de I must have called.

9. tear you apart: te despedaça em pedaços. Veja maisa lguns exemplos come sse phrasal verb:
  • I don't want to give him any more hopes because I might tear his heart apart.
10: typical of me: tão minha cara...
  • I can't believe how typical of you this is. You always cry for attention.
  • You are always disgusted by any kind of food. This is so typical of you.
11. Did you ever make it out of that town?: Você já saiu daquela cidadezinha?
  • I can't wait to finally make it out of this prison.
  • Why don't you make it out of the house already and come with us?
12. The both of us are running out of time: nós dois estamos correndo contra o tempo. O phrasal verb to run out of se refere ao ato de usar toda a reserva de algo, como tempo, dinheiro, comida, etc. Veja alguns exemplos:
  • I've nearly run out of money.
  • Run or we'll run out of time!
