O que significa "Power Rangers"?

Quem nunca assistiu ao seriado Power Rangers, tão famoso no mundo inteiro? Hoje eu estou escrevendo este post porque ontem, ao ser questionado sobre o significado do termo Power Rangers, uma dúvida cruel me castigou. Qual é afinal a melhor tradução para a palavra rangers?
