I was listening to a song by Queen that goes like "another one bites the dust" and thought that expression might be a good one for today: TO BIT THE DUST. Have you ever had the chance to learn that expression or have you always sung the Queen song without any idea of what that means? When someone or something bites the dust, it means they somehow die. So If you said a relative of yours bit the dust, it means he or she died.
The same goes to the idea of something biting the dust. For example, you have an idea that seems pretty bright at the time but then it comes to bite the dust. That means your idea failed, it died, it didn't turn out good. That's all for today. Take care!
