There's a sucker born every minute: o que isso significa?

Since I used a context about politics to discuss the expression of our previous post, I thought our next expression should somehow have to do with people that believe in promises politicians make. So imagine you're discussing politics with a friend of yours. The topic is, who is going to win for a certain position this year? You both have different opinions, but the opinion of your friend goes way against your own. You think he's a fool for thinking so-and-so candidate for that chair is going to win this year. There's no way. But then you pause for a moment, and remember that there are a lot of gullible people in this word willing to vote for such a silly impostor. So you say: I guess you're right. There's a sucker born every minute.

When you say that "there's a sucker born every minute", you mean that there are a lot of fools and dupes in this world capable of doing silly things. So you start thinking that when it comes to politics, everything is possible. The picture above supports my statement. That's it for today guys. Take care!
