You must have heard of the word freeze before. It's a verb, and when you freeze something, you make it hardened into ice or a solid body. People freeze water to always have ice at hand.

So when something is frozen in memory, it's like it's permanent in there and it will never leave you. The more you try to get rid of that terrible memory or an image of someone or something, the more it comes hunting you. So it's a frozen memory. Sometimes you wanna have a frozen memory of someone because it's the only memory you'll have from them. For example, a friend of yours dies, but you're content with the idea that the happy memories of you together will be forever frozen in memory. Or suppose your girlfriend is leaving for a different country to stay there for a lot of time, but before she leaves you look at her in the eye to have that imagine frozen in memory, so every time you miss her, you think of her eyes.
