Piggy in the middle: o que isso significa?

The expression of today comes all the way from the UK and Australia. It's also important to learn a little bit more about how those people communicate. You never know when you'll need it. So imagine this: You're in the middle of an argument between your two friends. You don't want to take sides because doing so you would take the risk of losing the other friend. And that's one of the last things you want to do in your life. They're both very good friend of yours.

So while talking to someone else about what happened the other day while you were in the middle of that argument, you said: It was everything okay until they started arguing over this silly matter and I ended up as piggy in the middle. When you're piggy in the middle, you're in a situation similar to the one I described above. You're in the middle of an argument between two or more people but for some reason you don't want to agree with either of them. Most the times, when people don't wanna take sides it's because they don't wanna be part of the argument or get into trouble. So they'd rather end up as piggy in the middle than get involved. That's the expression of the day. Stick around for more!
