Como dizer "a essa altura do campeonato" em Inglês? [expressões com a palavra STAGE]

Suppose you're in a failed marriage. Actually you and your wife are about to get divorced, but you really wish thing could have turned out differently. While talking to one of your friends about it, he encourages you to keep trying to work things out with your wife before taking any further decision. So you say: There isn't much we can do at this stage of the game. That means there's nothing you can do at the current point, because certainly you've tried many different ways to avoid divorce, but now, at this stage of the game, at this current point, nothing else will help. You can also say "at this stage" only, as in "at this stage, my marriage is already over".

And since the word of the day is STAGE, let's talk about the literal stage, the one artists go to. And speaking of artists, what's the worst thing that can happen to them? Well, there might certainly be many things, but the one every artist must be frightened about is being booed off the stage. Do you know what that means? For example, some friend of yours went to a musical event and came back saying people booed his favorite singer off the stage because he forgot the lyrics. When you boo anyone off a stage, it means you jeer and hoot until the performer finally leaves the stage. Many singers have been booed off the stage during Rock in Rio. Have you seen anything like that happening?
