Inglês com música: Tennis Court by Lord

Enquanto eu ouvia a música Tennis Court, de Lorde, eu percebi que logo nos primeiros versos da música existia uma expressão bem legal de ser aprender. Veja só os três primeiros versos e tente identificar a expressão ao qual eu me refiro:

Making smart with their words again

Well I'm bored

When you make smart with your words, you try to speak in a clever way so people will admire you. Lorde was saying that she gets bored by how people talk, she doesn't stand the fact people try to boost their ego by being eloquent. That's a funny way to say that by the way.
