I used to have a teacher I considered to be one of the most eloquent people I've ever known in my whole life. Even when I wasn't a formal student of her classes, I made a point to show up and appreciate her wax eloquent in classroom. But wait, what did I just say? Wax eloquent?
Yes, that's a very interesting expression that refers to the act of speaking with eloquence. So every time you see someone using words in a very correct and beautiful way, you can say they waxed eloquent. For example, you go to a wedding, and one of the witnesses gets up and proposes a toast. While he's speaking you can see there's a lot of eloquence there. So you can say he waxed eloquent at the wedding and everybody got impressed. That's it for today guys. Bye bye!
