be joined at the hip: o que isso significa?

In your childhood or maybe still today have you ever had a friend you spend so much time together than what's usual? When I was a kid, I had this friend that was always around and we spent a lot of time at the square of my little city on the countryside or going to other friends' houses. The thing is, as much time as we spent together, I don't still think we were joined at the hip. That means, we were not that glued to each other.

When two friends or a group of friends or relatives are joined at the hip, it means they're always with each other, they're inseparable. It happens all the time with couples. I used to have a friend who would always bring his girlfriend along to wherever he went. So if we wanted to spend some time talking about girls at a cool place, that wasn't possible because it would be weird having a girl sitting beside us listening into every word we said. So it was a bit odd and it kept us from acting natural. That's all for today guys. If you and a friend of yours are joined at the hip, tell us in the comment section. Talk to you next time!
